Background on the AmFed
Companies AmFed began operations on January
1, 1993, as American Federated General Agency, the Managing General Agency for American
Federated Insurance Company. At that time we had been appointed as a servicing
carrier for the newly formed Mississippi Workers Compensation Assigned Risk Pool and we
began writing both voluntary and assigned risk workers compensation business.
As
AmFed grew, we expanded into Third Party Administration and Excess and Surplus Lines

AmFed Companies, LLC.
We
have become the largest self-insured Third Party Administrator (TPA) for claims and
company management and the fastest-growing Excess &
Surplus Lines Broker in Mississippi.
Effective
